A late birthday gift to my dear friend MafunDi
He turned 30 this year, so I wanted to make something special for him

Visiting him at home some time ago, we talked about a party he organized once and thus he suddendly said: "I wished they brought me a throne" (something like that, to bring it to the point).
So I thought: that's a great idea. Why not make his wish come true?

I viewed many pictures of thorne-like chairs to get an impression how it should look like. I decided to draw it in gold, of course, but I also wanted to create something with diamonds or jewels. Also, the top of the trhone has a crown-like shape, so it would look like MafunDi's wearing a real crown. As you can see, I had some trouble with the correct perspecive, but I hope you never mind my leck of experience drawing chairs... !
I had trouble doing MafunDi, then. Originally, I planed to draw his body completly, but it looked ridicolus, so finally I only used a small part of my sketch.
I also had trouble with his facial expression. I wanted something very impressive, but I'm not quite sure if it worked in the end. To me, MafunDi's eyes turned out just fantastic (blue *.*), but the eyebrows... . He looks suspisious, doesn't he?
About the background: I'm sorry, but I didn't created the pattern myself, although I should have. I used the background of the frame I bought for this picture and modified it. Nether the less, I think it works very well!
Moreover, I tried to play with lights after having finished the basis. I had much fun and I'm looking forward to work a lot more with warm light on fur ^__^
